Prometheus must have tripped...

Within a span of 2 weeks California has had somewhere in the ballpark of 7-10 fires. Most of these were not even near where we live. Some started due to a man accidentally starting it, with his tractor, (don't ask me how) some were started by an arsonist. However starting yesterday, three fires started outside my window. Now I am not talking about just a little fire, I mean the whole mountain is on fire. Apparently lightning stuck close to a nearby power pole and started one mountain on fire. Then after that had been burning for a few hours, lightning struck again, yet this time it apparently forked, and hit two mountains on the other side of our house.
So they have closed the only road that gets to our house. We now have to go all the way to Gilroy if we want to leave. Thankfully we were able to get to church this morning and get back to our house with some groceries as we were out of food.

So it's back to work tomorrow. Only a few weeks left. We were going to be moving out of our house this weekend to Karie's moms' house, but due to the fire, that has now been delayed a couple days. But we should be out of this house I would guess in 3 days or so.
